IBSA was proud to sponsor two of the Skillaroos heading to Russia to compete in the Worldskills Competition this year.

Josh Boon, Cabinetmaker, and Clinton Larkings, Industrial Mechanics Millwright, competed in Kazan and helped Australia to finish 8th in the competition.

Clinton achieved a silver medal alongside three other Australian bronze medal finalists in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Vehicle Painting.

The competition is an opportunity to recognise skills excellence both in Australia and globally, and focuses on the incredible talent of young people in trades.

Josh and Clinton, alongside the competitors from across the world, represent the future of workforce skills for the manufacturing industry and we wish them all the best for their endeavours following the Competition.
