December 21, 2017
With 2017 drawing to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our stakeholders and customers for your continued support and contribution to our achievements this year. IBSA has grown from strength to strength in 2017, and we’re pleased to be able to reflect on the many achievements over the past year.
At the start of this year we formally commenced as the Skills Service Organisation for the Manufacturing Industry. Earlier this year we also submitted our 2017 Industry Skills Forecasts to the Australian Industry Skills Committee (AISC) on behalf of our Industry Reference Committees (IRCs). We’ve also progressed a number of training package development projects for our IRCs and have will have submitted three cases for endorsement to the AISC for consideration by year end.
IBSA’s commercial team have also had some notable achievements this year with the launch of IBSA Academy in February which was followed by the release of new, updated resources for the TAE Training and Education training package. In August, IBSA was pleased to announce the joining of IBSA Commercial and Futura to form Australian Training Products which now offers quality resources and training technologies across a number of industries.
This year we also concluded our work on the National Workforce Development Fund (NWDF). IBSA played a central coordination role over a number of years to assist enterprises to up-skill their workforces. In total, IBSA worked with over 1,000 employers and 63 RTOs to assist 6,500 learners to complete qualifications. IBSA was also honoured to cheer on the Australian team at WorldSkills 2017 in Abu Dhabi in October. WorldSkills showcases the value of skills and raises the recognition of skilled professionals, worldwide.
We look forward to working with you in 2018.
Best wishes for the festive season.
Please note that the IBSA offices will be closed from Monday, 25 December 2017 and will reopen Tuesday, 2 January 2018.
