There are approximately 5000 RTOs in Australia, who all offer different products and services. The National Training Information Service (NTIS) is a database on vocational education and training in Australia. It includes detailed information on courses, qualifications, training products, and RTOs by State and Territory. It can be accessed on www.ntis.gov.au

Choosing the right training

There are numerous options available when searching for the right training for your business. Some options include apprenticeships and traineeships, vocational education and training in schools and training for specific needs of employees and employers

Delivery of training

The delivery of the training is just as important as the content of the qualification or course. How the qualification or course will be delivered can include:

on-the-job at your workplace
off-the-job at the training provider's premises or elsewhere
or a combination of both
It will also be up to you to decide on how and when training takes place, for example:
after works hours
on the Internet
in a group training sessions
It is important to negotiate with the RTO so that you can tailor a course to suit your business needs.
