Background
ICA11 Information and Communications Technology Training Package was formally endorsed on 9th of May 2011.
ICA11 has been overhauled to both update the existing qualifications and competencies and create new qualifications and competencies to address the changes in, and expansion of, the information technology industry. It has been recognised that a need exists for both a generalised and a specialised mix of skills, and that because of the nature of the industry the new training package needs to be flexible enough to cater for industry change.
Following two national rounds of this workshop, it will now only be available as an in-house program.
Facilitator
Stuart McIntyre is a Principal Lecturer in Information Technology for TAFE SA. He was on the expert advisory panel for IBSA in the development of ICA11 and has previously worked on the review and development of the ICA05 Training Package.
Audience
The workshop has been designed to meet the needs of a wide range of people involved in training in information technology:
- Public/private and enterprise RTO managers, teachers/trainers and staff
- State/private schools information technology teachers/leaders
- Non‐RTO information technology training organisations
- Developers of support resources for the industry
