IBSA is one of the 11 authorised Industry Skills Councils recognised and funded by the
Australian government to provide integrated industry intelligence and advice on workforce
development and skills needs. It maintains and improves training material and supporting
products and services and provides advice on skills, training and workforce development
to enterprises. An exciting and challenging opportunity currently exists for a Finance and
Operations Manager.
Reporting directly to the CEO with accountability to the Board of Directors and the Finance,
Audit and Risk Management Committee, this role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of
a high standard of financial management and administration services for IBSA. Specifically,
the role will set operational finance policies and procedures, review the risk management
framework on an ongoing basis, prepare and monitor budgets and prepare and present
financial reports. The successful applicant will also be responsible for HR, office management
and computer facility management for the organisation.
Recognised accounting qualifications are preferable, as is experience of operating in a complex
contractual environment. In addition the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate
strong financial management ability and commercial awareness. With a combined strategic,
technical and commercial focus, this role demands a high level of accountability, liaison
with external professional advisors and the ability to communicate at all levels within the
organisation. To ensure success in this role you will possess excellent interpersonal, analytical
