Industry Skills Councils
Industry Skills
Councils operate collectively to
improve the perception and value
of Vocational Education and Training,
and are catalysts for effecting
change in order to create a more
skilled and equipped workforce
in Australia. Individually, ISCs
advance their own industries
through advocacy, networking, up-to-date intelligence
and effective product and service
development and delivery.
The ISC brand has been developed to communicate the
benefits ISCs collectively and individually offer to their stakeholders. ISCs
are valued for being: -
Independent, because they are industry led,
nonpartisan and credible;
-
Relevant, because they are solutions-focussed, in
touch, high profile, networked and future-focussed;
-
Experts, because they are knowledgeable, authorities,
industry-specific, leaders and innovative;
-
Enabling, because they are facilitating, accessible,
empowering, approachable, effi cient and responsible; and
-
Influential, because they are advisory, advocates,
catalysts and mediating.
They are the ambassadors and champions of
industry skills.
