Innovation and Business Skills Australia has completed the review of the ICA05 Information and Communications Training Package. The new Training Package is ICA11 Information and Communications Technology and is available on NTIS.
There have been enormous changes made to the Information and Communications Technology Training Package to bring it to the forefront of a rapidly changing industry. The expansion of the Information Technology Industry, which now incorporates areas like telecommunications, digital interactive games and digital media technologies, reflects the convergence of various industries.
The updated Information and Communications Technology Training Package includes 397 units of competency (compared with 240 in the previous ICA05 Training Package) and 29 Qualifications and 80 identified imported units from othr training packages and accredited courses.
IBSA is running Professional Development workshops throughout Australia for:
- Registered Training Organisations
- Public/private and enterprise RTO managers, teachers/trainers and staff
- State/private schools information technology teachers/leaders
- Non‐RTO information technology training organisations
- Developers of support resources for the industry
