Innovation & Business Skills Australia (IBSA) is currently reviewing the Occupational Health and Safety qualifications and units in the Business Services Training Package:
- BSB30707 Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety
- BSB41407 Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety
- BSB51307 Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety
- BSB60607 Advanced Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety
As part of its continuous improvement of the Business Services Training Package, the development of new and updated units of competency has commenced based on the recommendations identified in the ‘
Scoping report of BSB07 occupational health and safety qualifications and units of competency’.
The review process addresses current and emerging industry skilling requirements as well as aligning the Occupational Health and Safety qualifications and units to the new model Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations.
Kerry Jennings and Ross Armstrong will commence national consultation in August to validate the proposed changes to the Training Package. The consultation process will include phone, face-to-face interviews and feedback received via the IBSA Feedback Hub.
If you would like to be involved in the consultation process or if you have any questions about this project, please contact Eddie Hardman at eddie@ibsa.org.au or Angela Patil at angelapatil@ibsa.org.au.
