IBSA thanks all those who contribute their knowledge and experience to help us provide the high quality training package products and services to support the VET system and Australia's economy.
Training Package launches are a good way for IBSA to celebrate with industry stakeholders who have helped turn ideas and innovations into a high quality training product reality. Many individuals and organisations provide feedback on proposed units, skill sets and qualifications that form the national qualifications and without our industry and training stakeholders there would be no national qualifications!
The Australian Government has approved successful projects for the first release of NWDF and applicants have been notified.

The Economic Potential of Senior Australians Advisory Panel presented the third and final report Realising the economic potential of seniors Australians: turning grey into gold to the Hon Wayne Swan MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer on 12 December 2011.
The Government's Advisory Panel on the Economic Potential of Senior Australians was established in 2011 to consider specific policy areas and meet with a number of stakeholders. It has received input from the Consultative Forum on Mature Age Participation established in 2010. The Forum, of which IBSA is a member, provides Government with a prioritised range of evidence-based solutions that may be used to build the strategic direction for mature age employment in Australia.
The Advisory Panel delivered the first report, Realising the economic potential of senior Australians: changing face of society, to the Hon Wayne Swan MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer and the Hon Mark Butler MP, Minister for Mental Health and Ageing on 26 August 2011.
The second report,Realising the economic potential of senior Australians: enabling opportunity, was released on 2 November 2011 and examines key enablers to realise opportunities in later life.
In the third and final report, the panel has made recommendations in areas it has found to be vital to enabling senior Australians to actively contribute to all aspects of society.
Please accept our warmest greetings and sincere thanks for your support and contribution to IBSA's achievements in 2011. Best wishes for the holiday season!
