The updated Financial Services FNS10 v2.0 Training Package was officially launched at an IBSA breakfast function at Sydney’s Park Royal Hotel on 9 November held in conjunction with IBSA’s Financial Services Sector Advisory Committee meeting. IBSA Chair John Vines noted the background to the review of the package and highlighted that, in response to industry requests, IBSA had undertaken additional projects to update specific areas following its initial release. Bodies such as ASIC and the Tax Practitioners’ Board were particularly keen to match the regulatory requirements and the qualifications as were professional bodies in accounting, insurance and finance.
The Chair was pleased to acknowledge the contribution of individuals and organisations who have helped ensure the Training Package continues to reflect current industry. Following the official launch, Industry Manager Tony Cusack led a lively discussion and answered questions in relation to the package and the process for its continuous improvement.
