The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) in partnership with the National Centre for Sustainability (NCS), Swinburne University of Technology and Innovation & Business Skills Australia (IBSA) are pleased to present these teaching and learning resources designed to support the delivery of the Sustainable Practice Skill Set, part of the TAE10 Training and Education Training Package.
These interactive resources are intended to be of specific relevance to VET trainers and assessors delivering the following units:
- TAESUS501A Analyse and apply sustainability skills to learning programs
- TAESUS502A Identify and apply current sustainability education principles and practice to learning programs.
Participant and Facilitator Guides
The teaching and learning resources consist of:
- comprehensive Participant and Facilitator Guides with PowerPoint slides, unit of competency, session plans, learning activities, assessment tasks, marking guides, references and guidance for flexible/blended delivery
- industry-focused supplements to support the delivery of TAESUS501A Analyse and apply sustainability skills to learning programs for teachers and trainers in Electrical, Plumbing, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Construction or Hospitality & Tourism industries.
They are be available to download for free, or can be purchased on CD for a small fee. All resources are able to be customised to suit your learners’ needs.
In addition to the learning resources, you will can access the Education for Sustainability (EfS) Resource Hub website which features teaching resources, case studies, individual and group activities, references, and useful links: http://www.swinburne.edu.au/ncs/efshub/.
These interactive e-learning materials are SCORM compliant and designed to support flexible/blended delivery. They can be uploaded to learning management systems (LMS). Designed to engage distance-based students in learning, the e-learning materials incorporate engaging activities, videos, quizzes, and case studies in audio and visual formats.
The LMS content developed by the National Centre for Sustainability, has been tested to ensure easy uploading to standard learning management systems. As a free resource, RTOs are encouraged to customise the e-learning content according to their needs. While the NCS is unable to offer technical support, they welcome feedback and queries concerning the content of the resources (email: ncs@swin.edu.au).
