The guidance provided in this 50 page document provides all the necessary materials to guide the facilitator/assessor as well as to support the candidate in achieving this purpose as well as underpinning robust assessment of unit competence. The introduction captures the central purpose of the document in outlining: “Assessing these units holistically fulfils the purpose of the Diploma of VET by determining professional development needs, addressing these needs and providing advanced VET practice. The assessments reflect real training and assessment work roles and environments in the VET sector and in registered training organisations (RTOs)”.
