IBSA is proud to announce that Australia’s first ever national VET qualifications in dance, Live Performance CUA11, was endorsed by the National Quality Council on 23 June 2011. The qualifications and skill sets cover the broad range of contexts in which people with dance skills work and comprise performance in a variety of dance styles and levels, including elite performance, choreography, community dance, theatre and events, community cultural development, musical theatre, and dance teaching and management.
The package will be officially launched in the coming months and professional development workshops are currently being planned. The draft version of the Training Package can be found here, a completed version will be hosted shortly.
Also endorsed on 23 June was the revised Visual Arts, Craft and Design CUV11 Training Package. The existing package has been complemented with five new Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications in the areas of Visual Arts, Ceramics and Graphic Design. The draft version of the Training Package can be found here, a completed version will be hosted shortly.
