Focussing on the skills needed to foster innovation, boost business profitability and build individual and organisational capability.

The IBSA National Search Conference 2007 - Thursday 2nd August - brought together approximately 100 leaders in their field for a participatory, invitation-only forum that explored notions of creativity, innovation and talent development.

Speakers passionate about workforce development and business capability stimulated discussion and information exchange between IBSA’s sector advisory committees and invited business and industry leaders.

Australia’s pre-eminent corporate philosopher Dr Richard Hames inspired the forum to challenge conventional thinking to construct daring possibilities for the world of tomorrow – a user-generated world where workers are no longer the passive recipients of training and information, but the source of new ideas.

Outcomes from the Search Conference will directly inform IBSA’s future work, influence training policy decisions and inspire future approaches to workforce training and talent development that will underpin a vibrant and confident Australian economy and society.
