The Skilling Australia for the Future Discussion
Paper was developed by the Australian Government to provide all stakeholders with an opportunity to provide feedback about the proposed architecture and implementation arrangements for the 450,000 additional training places, to be delivered as the Productivity Places Program.

The Joint Industry Skills Council response provides a
collective response from the 11 Industry Skills Councils (ISCs) to the
Skilling Australia for the Future Discussion Paper
released on 1 April 2008. The ISC response provides advice on fundamental issues
over and above the questions posed in the discussion paper. It also sets out a
series of key strategies to underpin progressive implementation of policy.
