Phase II of the Productivity Places Program announced by Acting Minister

Acting Minister for Employment and Minister for Employment Participation, the Hon. Brendan O’Connor MP last week announced the start of Phase II of the Government’s Productivity Places Program.

DEEWR announced that nearly 14,000 job seekers were enrolled in the "fast-tracked" places made available in Phase I of the Program. Phase II plans to seek placements for an extra 22,000 positions, rolled out for courses from Certificate II to Diploma levels, with WA the first state to pilot an initiative to deliver 1,000 new training places in skills shortage areas.
