Telecommunications TP Enhancements - ICT02 Version 3.0 Endorsed

The new, Version 3.0 Training Package for ICT02 Telecommunications was endorsed on 10 November 2008.

ICT02 Version 3.0 is the essential tool for all training providers delivering Telecommunications programs. New units of competency have been developed with a focus on digital communications media, such as digital television, cellular mobile networks and VoIP.

Enhancements include:

1. Eight new qualifications, from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma, to ensure that the Telecommunications Training Package meets the skills needs of a constantly-changing telecommunications industry:
   • Access and Associated Services
   • Broadcast Technology
   • Computer Telephony Integration
   • Digital Reception Technology
   • Radio Communications
   • Telecommunications Networks
2. Six new Skill Sets covering:
   • Cabler Registration
   • Radio Technician
   • Access Network
   • Digital Technician
   • Telecommunications Networks
   • Broadband
3. Employability Skills are now explicitly embedded in the Telecommunications Training Package
